The goal when starting Lake Effect Restoration was to build an independently owned property restoration company serving Northern Michigan — one free from the shackles of a franchise model and grounded in homegrown morals, opportunity, and integrity.

When we opened our doors in 2020, Lake Effect operated out of a Mazda 3, a handful of tools, and a determination to succeed. Through long nights, hard work, and the support of our community, that small beginning grew quickly into multiple vehicles, a warehouse full of equipment, and a dedicated, fast-growing team. What started as a dream became a company fulfilling many dreams — and continues to expand today.

In the 2025 season, Lake Effect Restoration experienced tremendous growth across every division. Our mitigation, remediation, and construction teams reached major milestones, strengthening our capabilities and solidifying our presence in the region. The dedication of our staff allowed Lake Effect to firmly plant its roots here in Northern Michigan.

Today, we operate a full fleet of vehicles, maintain a shop stocked with equipment ready for any property emergency, and employ a team committed to serving homeowners and businesses when they need us most. Lake Effect has a strong foundation, and we are here for the long haul.
